为完成翻译任务,您的会议背景文本与翻译中间结果会在我们的服务器内存中暂存:
- 实时翻译过程:流式处理后 立即丢弃,不写入磁盘、不写入数据库;
- 异步会议纪要生成任务:在内存任务队列中 最多保留 1 小时 后自动清除;并发任务上限 50 个;
- 我们 不使用任何数据库(SQL / NoSQL / Redis)保存您的会议内容;
- 服务器重启时所有内存中数据归零。
5.3 在第三方处理者处的存储
请直接参阅第 4 节列表中各第三方的隐私政策。
6. 数据安全
- 客户端 ↔ 服务器之间所有通信通过 HTTPS(HTTP 接口)和 WSS(WebSocket 实时音频)加密;
- 所有第三方 API 调用均通过 HTTPS 加密;
- API 密钥通过环境变量配置,不在代码中硬编码;

Arc Interpreter Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Arc Interpreter ("the App") is developed and operated by Huiwen Song (宋慧雯), an independent developer based in the People's Republic of China (referred to as "we", "us", "the developer"). The App is a real-time voice-translation tool designed to be used together with paired smart-glasses hardware, primarily for cross-border business meetings.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, with whom we share it, how we protect it, and the rights you have under applicable law.
If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App immediately.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you actively provide
- Meeting context: text you enter on the "Pre-Meeting" screen, including scenario, participant names, objectives, and agenda;
- Meeting voice content: when you enable the microphone, the App captures voice from your iPhone microphone (or paired smart-glasses microphone) solely for the purpose of real-time translation;
- Information you give us when contacting us: e.g., the contents of any email you send to
lingzhitek@163.com.
2.2 Information processed automatically
- Device permission usage: microphone, Bluetooth, local network, background audio;
- App preferences: your selected interface language;
- Server request logs: to route requests, prevent abuse, and apply rate limits, our server temporarily logs IP addresses. These logs follow the standard log policy of our hosting platform (Railway) and are kept short-term. They are not associated with your meeting content.
2.3 What we explicitly do NOT collect
- We do not require account registration; we do not collect your name, phone number, or email address (except information you actively provide when contacting us);
- We do not collect persistent device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, IMEI);
- We do not collect location (GPS) data;
- We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs — including but not limited to Firebase Analytics, Sentry, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Umeng, Sensors, GrowingIO, Branch, AppsFlyer.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:
- Real-time translation of your meeting voice into the target language;
- Generation of "Pre-Meeting Brief" content based on the meeting context you provide;
- Generation of post-meeting summaries, key points, and participant profiles after a meeting ends;
- Technical diagnosis of translation errors when you actively report them (original audio is not stored);
- Service operation (rate limiting, error handling).
We do NOT:
- Use your meeting content to train any AI models;
- Use your data for advertising or marketing;
- Sell your data to any third party;
- Use your data outside the scope you consented to.
4. Third-Party Services (Data Processors)
To deliver translation and related features, the App routes requests through our server hosted on Railway (a US-based platform) to the following four third-party APIs. These third parties briefly handle the relevant data while processing each request, subject to their own privacy policies (please review them):
Commitment: We transmit only the minimum data required to complete the translation/search task. We never transmit your name, phone number, email, or any other identity-revealing information to any of these third parties.
5. Data Storage and Retention
5.1 On your iPhone (NOT uploaded to our server)
The App stores the following data locally on your device via the iOS browser engine's localStorage. None of this is uploaded to our server:
- Interface language preference (
arc_lang) - Meeting context information (
arc_meeting_info) - Pre-Meeting brief content (
arc_brief/arc_brief_meta) - Temporary in-progress meeting translation log (sessionStorage:
arc_postmeet_payload, destroyed when the App is closed)
You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the App or by going to iOS Settings → Arc Interpreter → Clear Storage Data.
5.2 On our server (in-memory on Railway)
To complete translation tasks, your meeting context and intermediate translation results are temporarily held in our server's memory:
- Real-time translation: discarded immediately after streaming; not written to disk, not written to database;
- Asynchronous summary-generation tasks: held in an in-memory queue for up to 1 hour before automatic deletion; concurrent task limit is 50;
- We do NOT use any database (SQL / NoSQL / Redis) to retain your meeting content;
- All in-memory data is cleared on server restart.
5.3 At third-party processors
Please refer directly to the privacy policies listed in Section 4.
6. Data Security
- All client ↔ server communication is encrypted via HTTPS (HTTP endpoints) and WSS (WebSocket real-time audio);
- All third-party API calls are made over HTTPS;
- API keys are configured via environment variables; not hardcoded in source;
- Our server logs do not retain meeting-content text;
- As an MVP-stage product, security measures will continue to harden across versions.
7. Your Rights
7.1 Universal rights (applicable to all users)
- Access: you can view all locally-stored data within the App; for a technical export, contact us via Section 11.
- Delete: uninstall the App or use iOS "Clear Storage Data" to remove all local data.
- Withdraw consent: revoke microphone, Bluetooth, local network, or background audio permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
- Complain: contact us via the email in Section 11; we respond within 15 business days.
7.2 European Union / United Kingdom users (under GDPR / UK GDPR)
In addition to Section 7.1 rights, you have the rights granted under GDPR Articles 15–22: access, rectification, erasure (right to be forgotten), restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and not to be subject to automated decision-making.
Our legal basis for processing is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
7.3 California users (under CCPA / CPRA)
You have additional rights: to know, to delete, to correct, to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to non-discrimination.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under CCPA.
7.4 Mainland China users (under PIPL)
You enjoy the rights granted under the Personal Information Protection Law including: right to be informed, right to decide, right to access, right to copy, right to data portability, right to correct, right to delete, right to withdraw consent, right to explanation, and right to file complaints with regulators.
You may file complaints with the Cyberspace Administration of China or your local personal-information-protection authority.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 14 (in mainland China) or under 13 (elsewhere, or the higher minimum age set by your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor is using the App or that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us via Section 11; we will delete the data upon verification.
9. International Data Transfers
The App primarily targets users located in mainland China. However, due to the following facts:
- Our application server is hosted in the United States (Railway);
- Deepgram, Anthropic, and Tavily are headquartered in the United States;
your meeting voice and text will pass through US-based servers and third-party systems during the translation process. We have selected service providers that publicly commit to industry-standard data protection, but we want you to be aware of this cross-border transfer.
For EU / UK users, cross-border transfers are conducted under the Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes (e.g., adding a new third-party processor, changing retention periods, modifying purposes of use) will be communicated via in-App notice or by updating the effective date in this document. Please review periodically.
11. Contact Us
